What?? Guess who decided to make a triumphant return to the pages of this neglected blog? Yup, yours truly!!
I need to discuss that this week I’ve got a little added swagger to my step. I’m still not talking full on Beyonce swagger..but that is the attempt. I mean, let’s be real here…everyone should aspire to some Beyonce-like swagger in their life!
Why the newly-acquired swagger, you ask?
Pride season is in full swing and this weekend is none other than Utah Pride (Yes, I live in Utah…sue me!)
I am a veteran “Prider” and by that I mean one who has done several Prides over the years! I have attended Long Beach Pride, Los Angeles Pride, San Diego Pride, Dallas Pride and the BIG ONE, San Francisco Pride….HO-LLA!! There is a very specific system to “doing” Pride…oh yesssss!! And I will be testing the waters of Salt Lake City!
Needless to say I’m very excited to attend this weekend’s festivities and see how much Pride is dispersed into this dry Utah air! My God this place is SO homophobic it makes my stomach sick!
So hollla if ya hear me….It’s all about Pride this weekend!!
